AN INTRODUCTION TO Taylor
Taylor has been creating things for as long as she can remember; drawing horses, combing through piles of coloring books, always begging her mom for a new craft. When she was 18, her Aunt Sue, who is also a painter, bought Taylor her first set of oil paints and gave her a proper lesson. They painted a yellow rose, a simple yet defining moment in her life.
In college Taylor pursued other avenues, math, teaching, music, until finally giving her heart to painting.
Taylor was raised in Arizona, then Minnesota, and received her B.S. in Art Education from North Dakota State University in 2017. She began her practice in oil paints and has never looked back. Taylor works from pictures that she captures on her adventures, but feel most alive painting on location.

Taylor is endlessly inspired by landscapes. Spending time outside and painting are intertwined for her and she has found that she cannot have one without the other. It is a practice that is both cathartic and zealous. Both an obsession and therapeutic. It is a means to process the human longings and questions, but ultimately, it is a celebration of God’s beauty and goodness. As someone who doesn’t have many words, the is how Taylor communicates.
Taylor's artwork explores themes of faith and the human experience through contemporary landscapes.
"May we find beauty in the in-between moments, pause in the tension between longing and presence. Never forsaking our sense of wonder" - Taylor
Taylor and her husband Joe live and work in Central Oregon with their border collie, Finn and their pet ducks.
